Patentes de software: Divulgaci=F3n mediante la acci=F3n EuropeSwPatentFree
[Nota informativa de ProInnova]
Ante la inminente votaci=F3n en el Parlamento Europeo de la Directiva McCar=
thy
que permitir=EDa la entrada de las patentes del software, y despu=E9s de
acontecimientos recientes que dejan ver la gran desinformaci=F3n habida al
respecto, desde ProInnova lanzamos una nueva acci=F3n en la red: EuropeSwPa=
tentFree.
La acci=F3n consiste en hacer que la palabra EuropeSwPatentFree aparezca po=
r toda
la red, siempre enlazada a la URL principal
http://EuropeSwPatentFree.hispalinux.es , la cual llevar=E1 al visitante a =
una
p=E1gina donde se le dar=E1 informaci=F3n clara, concisa, y en su idioma.
=C9sto lo podemos conseguir f=E1cilmente entre todos poniendo el enlace en =
nuestro
website, o en nuestra firma de correo, o en los mensajes a los foros, o en
nuestro weblog... Seguro que se nos pueden ocurrir muchos sitios m=E1s, y c=
on cada
sitio que se nos ocurra estamos informando a m=E1s personas del peligro exi=
stente.
Aquellos que dipongan de espacio web podr=E1n bajarse los archivos que conf=
orman
la p=E1gina informativa, traducirlos si hace falta a su idioma, y disponerl=
os en
la WWW. Mediante un formulario nos notificar=E1 el alta del mirror, y pasar=
=E1 a
la lista que mantendremos en el nodo principal. =C9ste ser=E1 quien se enca=
rgue de
recibir a los visitantes y dirigirlos a un mirror de entre todos los que
disponen de la p=E1gina en su idioma.
As=ED pues, las diversas formas de colaborar son las siguientes:
- Enlace en las firmas de correo, foros
- Enlace en websites
- Env=EDo del texto informativo por email
- "Mirroring" de la p=E1gina web
- Traducciones de la p=E1gina web
Cada d=EDa que pasa se desvelan m=E1s todav=EDa los actores que hay en jueg=
o, y han
sido muy positivos todos los apoyos recibidos tanto desde el sector empresa=
rial
y m=E1s en concreto de las PYMES, como desde el universitario, pasando por =
la cara
social de la red. Pero a=FAn as=ED creemos que es necesario acercar la prob=
lem=E1tica
actual a todo el sector de usuarios de la inform=E1tica. Y para =E9sta tare=
a, nadie
mejor que la propia Red.

Software Patents: Spreading through the EuropeSwPatentFree network action

Over the imminent McCarthy Directive voting in the European Parliament whic=
h
could introduce the software patents in europe, and after recent events sho=
wing
up a big misunderstanding in the subject, from ProInnova Working Group we l=
aunch
a new network action: EuropeSwPatentFree.
The action lies in making the word EuropeSwPatentFree as more ubiquitous as
possible in all the network, always linked to its main URL
http://EuropeSwPatentFree.hispalinux.es , which will redirect the visitors =
to a
web page filled up with clear and concise internationalized information.
We can achieve this mission easily, just putting the link in our website, o=
r in
our e-mail signature, or in forums messages, or in our weblog... I bet we c=
an
find many other places, and with each one we will be reporting other people
about the current danger.
Those who have web hosting space will be able to download the files of the =
web
page, translate them if needed to their language, and put them in the WWW.
Through a web form we will be notified of the mirror startup, and this will=
join
the list mantained by the main node. The latter will redirect the visitors =
to a
mirror, selected from the list, and hosting the desired language.
So then, there are the following ways to support the action:
- Link in your email & forums signatures
- Link in your website
- Sending the informative note by email
- Mirroring of the web page
- Translation of the web page
Day by day we see how the players of this game reveal their faces, and had =
been
so positive all the backings received from the business sector -certainly t=
he
SMEs sector- as much as universities, and of course the social face of the
network. But we still believe it is necessary to bring the present scenario=
to
all the computing users sector. And nothing better for this task than the
network itself.
