bueno, ya que lo he comentado, sobre los drivers la Airport Extreme hay
una petición aquí(dudo que sirva de algo, pero por comentar...):

There currently is *NO* support for the AE chipset on Linux at the
moment, despite what those links may suggest. You can use cards with the
AE chipset (BCM4306) on x86 machines with NDIS-wrapper which is what the
posts there are alluding to, not very helpful on PPC. You would have to
write your own kext wrapper (like NDIS-wrapper) to get the OSX AE driver
working on linux, which isn't as simple as it sounds. 
 
 I'm currently helping with the sourceforge project, right now in our
private CVS (to prevent legal problems with Broadcom) the MIPS bcm4301
driver is a little more than 50% translated into C. Although the
sourceforge site itself looks dead, the project is still very alive. 
 
 It will happen eventually, just be patient. :)

The MIPS driver includes support for all bcm43xx chipsets, so the only
difference should be the Apple specific changes that need to be made,
not really any core differences. The situation is similar to the
relationship between the orinoco and airport modules.

Tenía también el enlace del proyecto de sourceforge pero lo he perdido.
No es que digan gran cosa, pero por lo menos sabemos que algo se mueve.
En los foros de http://www.elotrolado.net, alguien aseguraba que el tema
está bastante caliente, a ver si es cierto ;-)
