Buenas,

> cat /etc/passwd | wc -l

eso, ya decía que estaba diciendo todo de memoria... el comando al que me
refería era el wc, thanx por la corrección (estaba en Hasefroch, y algo liado,
en el curro, y no podía comprobarlo).
