Buenas y calurosas tardes a tod en s!!

¿Alguien se ha pegado con la instalación del MySQL Workbench en una Ubuntu?

La verdad es que soy una novatilla así que no matéis si la pregunta es tonta
O:-)

Me he bajado las sources de la página oficial.
Me he puesto con el ./configure y me sale el siguiente error:

checking for glib-2.0 libxml-2.0 >= 2.6.2... Package glib-2.0 was not found

Entonces he hecho un locate de glib-2.0 y luego un export de la variable
PKG_CONFIG_PATH pero me sigue dando el mismo error.

¿Alguna sugerencia? (se admiten insultos hacia mi persona)
